Marrying your cousin has been a question many people have probably asked themselves at some point. Not only if it was legal, but how society would view such a union. After all, in the Bible, Adam and Eve’s children must have married at some point to propel humanity into the future.
The infographic below shows in which countries it is legal to marry your cousin. As you can see, mostly everywhere in North, Cental, and South America marrying your cousin is illegal.
In Northren Africa, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India, and other intermediate countries, there are no laws that inforce cousin marriage. Even in China, it is not legal, but the government does not actively enforce the law.
In the East and West, there are two completely different stances on cousin marriage.
